April 12, 2016 – Carriacou Marine Limited continues to attract some high profile delegations from across the globe, which further signifies its growing importance and significance as one of the tri-island state’s most prominent marinas.
The A-class facility at Hermitage hosted the owners and management team of the Florida-based Sea Hawk Paints (New Nautical Coatings, Inc.) mega company. Sea Hawk is one of the world’s largest suppliers of diverse marine paints to just about every corner of the globe.
The team of Erik Norrie (CEO), David Norrie (President), Tommy Craft (Sales Manager), Denis Laesker (International Sales Manager) and Edon Copparini (pilot) flew into the island for a couple of hours to hand over seven certificates to the workers at the marina for having been trained to properly apply their products. A special certificate was also presented to owner and Manager, Trevor Stanislaus, as an endorsement that his company has earned the rights, likes thousands globally, to apply Sea Hawk products.
Erik Norrie said that the stop at Carriacou Marine was part of a Caribbean and South American tour to meet with the agents who are qualified to use his company’s products. He said that the family owned and operated Sea Hawk Paints has been the leading supplier of paints and other marine products throughout Northern America, Central America, Greater Antilles, Caribbean, South America, Europe, Australia, New Zealand Asia and Africa. He said that apart from marine paints for the bottom of boats, they have recently launched Hawk Epoxy, which has been quickly flying off the shelves at the various outlets globally.
“We are on an eighteen day, seventeen-country trip and we are here to certify the workers and marinas. We are also here to speak about our one year warranty which boat owners receive when they have their Sea Hawk paint applied by a Certified Applicator, such as Carriacou Marine,” said Mr. Norrie.
The marina has been patronizing the company for about a decade now. Manager, Stanislaus, said that this is just another demonstration of the strides they have been making at the marina on their road to becoming a world-class facility. He said that the awarding of the certificates would motivate the operation and employees with greater confidence to apply Sea Hawk products. “For the first time in Carriacou, workers, apprentices and experienced staff have been certified by the premier yacht paint supplier in North America,” said Stanislaus.
He added that when one receives certification from Sea Hawk Paints it demonstrates to customers that they would be receiving the best paints applied by trained technicians and professional staff.
“This is very important as customers will know that they are dealing with a qualified company with a qualified team,” added Stanislaus.
Carriacou Marine Limited is well known for hosting several international names and only last month hosted the Russian Ambassador to the Southern Caribbean.
